Luke just randomly one day decided he loved raw broccoli.....Should I be worried?

A couple of us girls in the neighborhood started a little preschool. Luke loves playing with his friends and is always looking forward to the next time he gets to go to his "school."

Lake Powell

We went down to Lake Powell this last weekend with our friends the Pace and Smith family. I never thought Powell would be nice this late in the year, but the weather was perfect and the water was warm! Thanks to the Pace's and their totally sweet boat - we had a great time.

We stayed at the Lake Powell Resort, which is located right next to the boat ramp - it was really easy to come and go with the boat and their pool was really cool. This is the view from one of our rooms. It's a fun place to stay if you don't have a houseboat.

Any time Dan walked away from his seat, Luke would be sitting in it within seconds.

It was Jason's first time wakeboarding and he did awesome!

It was Jake's blessing this last Sunday, but I was so busy thinking about other things that I forgot to take pictures! So this is one of the few pictures that were taken during the blessed event.

4th of July - Cousins Luke, Lukas, Hayden and Mitt decided to adopt the rabid looking dog that emerged from the river that night...

So this is pretty much the smallest pool ever made. The previous owners of our home left it and now I can see why - Luke jumped into it and 3/4 of the water splashed out. Although, he will still play in it for hours if you let him.

Worms, The Zoo and a Toy Box

I just finished painting my old toy box for Luke. I think he likes it because sometimes I will walk past his room and he will be randomly sitting on it with a couple of his friends.

We were eating spaghetti the other night and instead of eating it, Luke decided that each noodle was his pet snake instead...

We went to the Zoo and got Luke a pet monkey. He named it Cheese after one of his favorite foods.

We decided it was time to finally get rid of the Crib and give Luke a Big Boy Bed. I was nervous about the change at first, but he has been doing really well! Next...toilet training.

Now that Luke can get out of his bed during naptime, this is what usually what goes on now instead of napping. Note the fingers sticking out from under the door...

Instead of storing his books in the bookshelf, he decided that his fire truck would look better there.

Luke did pretty well during his first night in his new bed. I think he really enjoys the freedom and he loves to play with all his toys up there.

St. George/Tuacahn

We spent conference weekend in St. George for our annual family "Spring Fling" at my Aunt & Uncle's house. It was so warm down there and a nice break from the coldness in Salt Lake! We had a really fun time and didn't want to leave!

We couldn't tear Luke away from the fountain. No matter where we were in the house, he would always find his way back to it!

We went to the Colbie Caillet concert at Tuacahn Amphitheater- It was so funny because Luke was dancing to the music and pretending to play the guitar with her. We started calling him our little August Rush. haha

Ahh Vacation...

So we decided to leave Luke with Grandma for a week and take a much needed vacation before the second child comes along. We took a cruise to the Caribbean an visited St. Thomas, St. Martin and the Princess Cays. We had a great time except that the airline lost our luggage on the way there and we didn't get it back until the 4th day of our trip! Luckily, we found a Target before we borded the ship and stocked up on underwear, toothbrushes, combs, etc...

Feb. 11th was Luke's 2nd birthday. We had to light his Birthday candles 3 times because he kept blowing them out before we could sing "Happy Birthday" to him. He loves fire - I hope that is not going to be a problem in the future!

Well after a couple weeks of searching and no luck, we decided to buy another camera - I'm sure we will have to buy a few more in the years to come as well...Anyway, I got Luke up from his nap the other day and noticed that he had taken off his pants and then tried to put them back on again. I thought it was pretty funny myself!

I know this blog page has been really boring lately - We lost our camera a few weeks ago, (We think Luke threw it away) so I haven't been able to post any pictures. We do have some news though - We found out that we are having another boy!
